Application Properties Dialog
Used to define a ProjectWise application. Opens when you double-click an existing application, or when you right-click the Applications node and select .
A ProjectWise application can include as little or as much information as you require. It can be a name only, or it can include file extensions associated with it. You can also configure the program to launch when a ProjectWise Explorer user selects to open, view, markup, or print a document that is associated to that application.
General tab
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Name | Sets the name of the application. |
File extensions field | Used to enter new file extensions that you want to be associated to the application, or to modify existing extensions. |
File extensions list | Lists the file extensions that are currently associated to this application. Selecting an extension in the list also places the extension in the File extensions field, so that it can be modified. |
Add | Adds the extension you entered in the File extensions field, to the File extensions list. |
Modify | When an extension is selected in the list, you can edit the extension in the File extensions field and click Modify, to change the extension in the list. |
Remove | Removes the selected extension from the list. |

Setting | Description |

Action / Association list | Displays the list action associations currently defined for the selected application. |
Create | Opens the Create Association dialog, which is used to create an association between a user action and a program. You can create as many 'Open' action associations as you want for each application, but only one can be set as the default. For the actions View, Markup or Print, you can only have one of each for each application. |
Modify | Opens the Modify Action Properties dialog, which is used to modify the selected action association. |
Remove | Used to remove the selected association. |
Set Default | When you have more than one Open action association, you can set which one you want to be the default by selecting the action association and clicking Set Default. |
Program class name / executable path | Displays either the path or the registry entry for the program that is associated to the selected action. You can modify this value by selecting the action association, clicking Modify, then in the dialog that opens, clicking the Browse button (...) to the right of the Program class name / executable path field. The dialog that opens offers a few ways of specifying the program to use. |
Enable Legacy Integration | Displays whether or not legacy integration is set for the program set in the selected action association. |
Replace Default Arguments | |
Command line that will be used to start the application | Displays the command line arguments that the program set in the selected action association opens with. You can modify this value by selecting the action association, clicking Modify, then in the dialog that opens, modifying the value in the Command line arguments field. |
